Office Administration Assistant / Manager

Center for Entrepreneurship, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences is looking for an office manager to support the center in the following activities:

  1. Administrative Support: Welcome and direct visitors, students and faculty; Manage phone calls, emails, and general inquiries about the department. Coordinate meetings, events, and appointments. Provide leadership and oversight for all administrative functions within the office.
  2. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain and organize department records and documents. Assist in drafting and editing official communications.
  3. Facility Management: Manage office supplies and inventory, oversee the maintenance and availability of office equipment.
  4. Inter-departmental Coordination: Facilitate communication and information flow with other departments in the University.
  5. Travel Arrangements: Assist in organizing travel arrangements for staff.
  6. Logistics and Resource Management: Coordinate logistics for university events and programs. Manage expenses, disbursements and approvals. Track and report on operational expenses.
  7. Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors for procurement of goods and services.
  8. Liaison: Manage interactions with external experts, mentors, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem collaborators. Foster positive relationships and act as a representative of the organization.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2 – 4 years of office management or relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Ability to coordinate with diverse groups and departments
  • Comfortable in using office software (MS Office, Google Suite) and basic IT skills
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work in a new and dynamic center with a startup atmosphere inside a large university setup
